1. Mission and Scientific Scope
The Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovations (JETI) is a peer-reviewed, international open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research that provides scientific and engineering solutions to environmental and societal challenges. The journal prioritizes interdisciplinary research with regional or global implications, specifically focusing on the intersection of emerging technologies and sustainable development.
Our primary areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Atmospheric Environment & Climate Change: Global and local climate monitoring, greenhouse gas mitigation strategies, and advanced air quality modeling.
• Water & Waste Management: Novel wastewater treatment technologies, circular economy frameworks, and waste-to-energy innovations.
• Environmental Nanotechnology: Development and application of advanced nanomaterials for environmental sensing, remediation, and protection.
• Sustainable Infrastructure & Urban Resilience: Application of emerging technologies to urban challenges, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the built environment (e.g., Athena Impact Estimator for Buildings), sustainable materials science, and river basin management.
2. Publication Model and Open Access
JETI is a fully Open Access journal. All articles are made immediately and permanently available online for readers to read, download, and share without a subscription. We believe in the democratized exchange of scientific knowledge to accelerate global innovation.
3. Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
In compliance with international standards for academic discoverability and citation tracking, JETI assigns a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to every article published. This ensures that your research remains a permanent, linkable, and citable part of the formal scientific record.
4. Submission and Originality
• Originality: Submission of a manuscript implies that the work has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis) and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• Author Warranty: By submitting, authors warrant that the work is original and does not infringe upon any third-party copyrights.
• Plagiarism Policy: To maintain the highest standards of integrity, all manuscripts are screened via Turnitin upon submission.
5. Editorial Independence and Review
JETI maintains strict editorial independence. All decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, and relevance of the work.
• Double-Blind Peer Review: All research articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process involving at least two independent subject-matter experts.
• The Role of the Editor: The Editor-in-Chief holds final authority over the acceptance or rejection of any manuscript to ensure the quality and consistency of the journal’s standards.
6. Digital Archiving and Preservation
To ensure the long-term accessibility of our authors' work, JETI utilizes robust digital preservation strategies. We are committed to maintaining a permanent digital archive to protect against data loss and to ensure that research remains accessible to the global scientific community indefinitely.
7. Ethical Compliance
All published research must comply with the journal’s Research and Publication Ethics, including the mandatory disclosure of any conflicts of interest and adherence to ethical standards for research involving human or animal subjects.
