The handling editor shall reject the paper (papers under review) or withdraw it from publication with an announcement in the Journal if it is determined to be in breach of the Journal's ethical principles (papers already published). The Committee on Research and Publication Ethics* evaluates published publications that raise ethical concerns and decides whether they should be withdrawn.The offender is notified in writing of the results of the examination and the actions to betaken by the Editorial Board. For three years after the decision date, authors who have committed an ethical violation are forbidden from submitting any manuscript to JETI. Only if newevidence that couldalterthe result is discovered within 30 days of the notification, the suspected authors can submit an objection and request a reconsideration. Additional steps may be taken by the Editorial Board if it deems them necessary.
